I've been trying to present this BG series in chronological order and initially I skipped some of my master recordings thinking thqat I had previously shared them with you. Well, some I did like the 1988-06-11 Casino Cabaret Denver show, but not these next three offers I will be presenting that were personally recorded by myself.
This first one was a real treat for me as it was the first time I saw Buddy and he completely blew me away (and still does to this day :-). And not to beat my own drum, but how many of you can say that you had a recorder in hand the first time you saw Buddy live? Now, to knock myself off of my lofty pedistel, I nailed the first set (yes, a two-set complete show), but the left the recorder on pause for the second set and only captured the last 15 minutes of that second set. There's a lot of screw-ups that can occur when recording a show, especially on cassette, and I got bit this night, but very pleased with what I did capture and became an instant BG fan for life. Sample included.
