Recorded on the left hand side approximately 20 feet from the left speakersin what I believe is the
sweet spot for recording concerts at the Commodore Ballroom. The sound was excellent & the recording
came out really well. I kept the levels on the lower side to avoid any over distortion as Buddy Guy
tends to crank up the volume during his shows. I am sure that my friend Boguspomp will apply his
usual magic to increase the levels to where they need to be.
A great Buddy Guy show ? Not as good in terms of song selection or energy that I have seen from
previous Buddy Guy shows. The highlight of this show was 'Skin Deep' which is the title track from
Buddy Guy's excellent latest album as well as a stripped down version of 'Hey Joe' that I have not heard
Buddy Guy play before. In my opinion 'Skin Deep' is probably the best song that Buddy Guy has ever written.
Enjoy the show!

Another of the great DGB recordings; I would say soundwise the best so far of all the shows, that I had
the pleasure to work on. The dynamics are incredible. After mastering the levels are between -38dB and -0,1dB
(When music is played !).That's probably the most dynamic show, I've worked on so far.
I haven't seen Buddy Guy live before, just a TV broadcast from the Lugano festival last year and that one
was pretty cooking already. For me this recording smokes. DGB says, there were better BG shows before.
It's hard to believe, when you listen to this recording.
Get this, listen to this loud and enjoy !
