Show Notes:
I remember very little about this show...other than that I arrived a few minutes late due to taping an aborted Son Volt set (and meeting a longtime online friend during that), then having The Cult, Al Green, Gary Clark Jr. and Janes Addiction on tap later that day. Simply put, he delivered a solid, pretty-well recorded (considering the wind) set. This was one of those "14 shows in 15 days" trips, the 48 hours prior involved a Chris Robinson Brotherhood show that started at 1 AM in New Orleans, a short 3 hour nap, a 350 mile drive to Birmingham for Blackberry Smoke, The Cult and Janes Addiction at a now-defunct festival (Schaeffer Crawfish Boil), a 4 hour drive to Memphis and then dealing with 95 degree temperatures when arriving.
So, yeah...he's a hell of a guy for doing what he does. His name is Dennis. Be sure to offer him alms and praise...just no fruitcake.
My name is Steve, aka Mr. Deep. Hurl those insults my way, as I fully 100% deserve it.
There's more to come...always more to come.
