Notes:
While adjusting levels at the beginning, I accidentally unpluged my preamp from my recorder, and it switched to internal mics, so I had to cut that out as it was majorly clipping, but it wasn't much. I also put it through a 150Hz high-pass filter in post-production to cut the bass some.
At the end of the show, Buddy brought out a 13 year old harmonica player - Joshua King. I had never heard of him, but there are several videos of him on YouTube.
This was my first outing with my AT853 omni caps, and with seats so close to the front, I'm very happy with the results. There were not a lot of drunks around me, and the recording has a good "live" feel to it.
Splitting tracks was a challenge, because Buddy stops so much at times. It was kind of like a blues history lesson, and if you look at it like that, the way I ended up splitting tracks was logical. While not true medleys (because he talked between songs), I didn't know what else to name them, but it works.
At the beginning, you can hear a drunk yelling "I named my dog after you!!!" It makes me laugh, because I had a dog I named after Willie Dixon... a cool dog too. RIP Willie.
