This was second time I had the pleasure of seeing Burton Cummings live, the first about 10 years ago at the Guess Who reunion (got a nice recording of that one, too). He really sounds great and you gotta love all of the great the Guess Who stuff.
It was sunny and hot on Saturday at 1pm when the show started. It was a free concert in downtown Denver for the annual Taste of Colorado festival. Burton had trouble setting his Yamaha keyboard because of the sun shining on the displays and there were small delays between some songs. I decided to track these gaps seperately because they were so long. The recording and the performance are both very nice. I think I was able to stand in the sweet spot to record the show and I thought the set list was very nice - I got two of my three favorite Guess Who songs:
1) Hand Me Down World
2) Share the Land
3) Hang On to Your Life (maybe one day)
