We are pleased to return to the JoeRay Master Series with Volume 32, a rare Pre-FM capture of cult legend Buzzy Linhart playing the 'WMMS Coffee Break Concert" series at Bobby McGee's in Cleveland in 1979.

Joe Ray shares some thoughts on Buzzy and this concert:

Buzzy Linhart was one of my favorite musicians. He was a regular in Cleveland although he was living in New York. He was a writer, guitarist and overall fun guy to be around. During the 1970�s I would see Buzzy every opportunely I could. He had three hit songs recorded by others, "The Love's Still Growing" for Carly Simon, "Friends" for Bette Midler and "Kids Will Be Kids Forever" for the Crosby Show. Any time you could see Buzzy live, you�d leave knowing you�ve had one of the finest nights out of your life. If Buzzy couldn�t make you smile, no one can.

Buzzy played a Fender Strat Guitar and a Fender Twin Reverb Amp. Often, he would be a solo artist but he would invite other musicians to join him on the spur of the moment. I have many recordings of Buzzy and we will start posting them. I hope you enjoy this rare live recording from Cleveland�s Bobby McGee�s as part of the WMMS Coffee Break Concert series. WMMS FM 100.7 - The Home Of The Buzzard in Cleveland, Ohio. Matt The Cat hosted this CoffeeBreak Concert.
