Notes:
This is a recording from the 1985 tour that Gene Clark organised ostensibly as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of The Byrds but in reality as a a way to use The Byrds name without the agreement of Roger McGuinn or Chris Hillman. It included three ex-Byrds, two members of The Band, a one time Beach Boy and a member of Firefall/Flying Burrito Bros.
This is one of the most complete recordings I have heard of the tour. According to reviews (copies included), and compared with other shows, this is probably just missing a couple of solo performances by John York, Rick Roberts and Blondie Chaplin before Rick Danko is introduced.
This is quite a noisy, but small, audience which occasionally interferes with the music. This is though very listenable and a good record of an interesting combination of musicians.
The taper was obviously saving tap and pauses or stops recording at times between songs. The recording was split over three tapes with slight differences in speed, volume and tone which I have tried to correct/even out as best as possible.
