The show was fun and enjoyable but the band did seem to be a shell of their former selves. Unfortunately, the soundman at the Main Stage seemed to be lacking throughout the entire festival. While I could see/hear it was hitting the band a little bit, they soldiered on like true professionals. They were lucky as the sound was much worse for other bands. At times, I could hear flashes of greatness - at other times, it sounded like any old bar band I've heard a million times before. Have a listen to the samples and judge for yourself. Either way, this was a fun show and certainly worth the download.
All and all, I was glad to catch these guys. It was fun to hear them perform and I did enjoy their music. The show did not disappoint and was a perfect festival set. Their long time manager Skip Taylor was there and he reminded the band that 46 years ago to the day, they were on the Woodstock stage performing. Of course, that got a brief conversation going about the infamous brown acid. Now that's a piece of history!
Concerning Harvey Mandel, the band's official website states:
"Harvey is going through some medical procedures and surgery.
We hope to have him back in action in the near future,

No compression was used in the post-processing of this recording to preserve it's dynamic range, listenability and authenticity.
This recording will naturally sound much better cranked up loud with quality headphones!
Peace & enjoy,
