Captain Coconut is a razor-sharp, seven-piece band from NYC playing fresh, original funk music. This is the band’s second show in New Orleans. During JazzFest 2006, they opend for Bill Summers’ “Wade In The Water” band at the Blue Nile Club. They returned to NOLA again this year thanks to John Swenson, Marc Stone, and the folks at Rotolo’s. Captain Coconut plays all around NYC and was thrilled to be surrounded by the kind people and the fantastic music, food, and culture that makes New Orleans what it is. LONG LIVE NOLA!

Captain Coconut is:

Dan Knobler – guitar
Zack Rosen – bass
Matt Porter – keys
Andrew Abramowitz – drums
Matt Chiasson – tenor sax
Jon Saraga – trumpet
Danny Rivera – baritone sax
