It took a long time to wrap my tiny brain around the concept of Carl Palmer performing in Winchester, VA. I've lived in the area for 27 years and can't recall a similar event. It wasn't until the night of the show that I understood how it was financially feasible for the tiny 60' X 30' Bright Box Theater to have pulled this off. A local musician explained that when he heard that the theater had the opportunity to book Carl Palmer but it was impossible to cover the cost, he immediately went out and secured corporate sponsors to make the event possible. And if for some reason I had happened to miss this show, you would have been justified in revoking my credentials and deleting all of my recordings.
