The cars Milwaukee Arena August 16, 1979
Hot day! No door would go for the "please take batteries and tapes trick"
They said that is like bringing in a gun without the bullets. I moped and cried I had no where to go with the
gear as I took a bus here (Not true of course). After 45 minutes of pouting on the stairs by the door,
a woman from Stardate productions (of the show) said I will take your gear to my office. She
walked me by the door while I held the gear. SHE THEN GOES INTO A OFFICE AND SAYS TO ME, "STAY HERE".
I waited maybe 60 seconds and then ran away. No one saw my ticket, so I went to my seat and recorded
the show looking over my shoulder the entire time. I actually met up with this woman at a later concert
a year later and we both laughed it off. She did say she was worried that night.
Great show and above average sound at the arena for 22th (not sure exact as I have no stub) row main floor.
I saw them the next day at the Aragon Ballroom Chicago but did not even try. It did not sound nearly as good.
I have all pictures of my gear on my website, www.ricksrecordings.com
