This is a very good audience recording of the Cecil Taylor Unit in the Knitting Factory. This hasn't been upped here before, as far as I know. Info on the shows is from the New York Times (April 30, 1988): "Cecil Taylor, a pianist, will lead his five-piece unit at 9 o'clock and 11:30 tonight at the Knitting Factory, 47 East Houston Street (219-3055). Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door". Information on the line-up is from the William Parker Discography: "88.04.30 Cecil Taylor Unit [Audience Recording] April 30, 1988 / Knitting Factory, New York City [135:00]". Thanks to the taper. Brandnew artwork included. Enjoy!
