Since there's some in interest in the LMO and since most of the available recordings are large hall affairs, here's a rare club appearance.
This was recorded on what I remember as the second tour of the 1980's version of the band.
I was lucky enough to attend the premiere reunion concert a year or so before this gig at The Public Theatre. I remember talking to Charlie that first night and he very eloquently explained to me the reasons for reforming the LMO. It was quite a show....unfortunately I did not tape that one, and soon after Carla and Mike split and no longer performed with the LMO
The sonics on this are pretty good considering the age of the tape.
WKCR Remote broadcasts often used a lo-fi telephone link, but I believe this one was printed onto tape and then brought to the station to be played, so its pretty good. There are some flaws, both on the tape and in the original broadcast, but they are minor.
This seed contains the second half of the first set, and the entire 2nd and 3rd sets.
please note also, that for whatever reason, the sound quality improves as the show goes on...the material from the first set sounding a bit muffled
