Show was rescheduled from the summer which was just fine with me, beautiful night and no heat/humidity to deal with. Packed house for ths show. Robin Zander's son opened the show with 45 minutes of accoustic 12-string playing which was a little monotonous after a while. Didn't record his set as there was no one around me for 20 feet to shield me as I got my equimpent set up. By the end of his set, the sun was down so that made it easier. CT was on only about 15 minutes after that so I just barely had everything ready to go. Was also running some new Sound Professionals mics as an A/B comparison but they ended up needing a lower mic sensitivity setting (or Line In input) which the R07 doesn't have so they ended up overloaded most of the night. I ran the CA14s with a lower input setting in order to try and equal the SPs on the meter so the recording was a little low which necessitated bumping up the gain in Audacity. A drunk guy behind us but what are you going to do, so whoooos and woofs (Univ of GA Bulldogs stuff). Some crowd noise/interference especially during The Flame as every female in the crowd had to keep standing up and sitting down. Picks flowed like water out of Rick's pockets and mic stand as usual. Robin's son doubled all of his father's vocals for the entire show. At least they're not trying to hide anything as he's right there on stage. The PA system / sound mix isn't the best at The Fred but overall it turned out pretty good.

Enjoy!
