notes:
This show has circulated for years on a boot "Best of Live Series" as Louisville 1975 with a running time of approximately 49:31. Without commercials, the original broadcast, however, ran 82:19, so one can see how much of the show has been missing. The boot took liberties with cuts, mixing up and combining tracks, and deleting whole songs. Particularly devious was the insertion of other odd bits of the concert into the "Make Me Smile" opus. This new version is taken from an off-air master tape of the original KBFH show as broadcast over WNEW-FM in New York. I've removed the DJ talk and commercial breaks, and seamed together the applause sections between the breaks. Otherwise, the original broadcast is unaltered. The tape was actually marked Detroit, Michigan 13 October 1975, but this seems to be an error related to notation in a KBFH mailing list flier. (Okay, so what happened to the Detroit show?) The DJ on several occasions marked the show as originating from 1974 and made no mention of the location. However, at least twice during the show, the band can be heard thanking Louisville. With fair certainty, I am placing this show as Louisville, KY 1974.
