With the recent appearance of some rare, vintage Chicago shows,
I thought I might upload a show I don't believe circulates very
commonly. I searched DIME and did not find this one so I did some
work on it and offer it here in the hope that it may prompt others
to share their rare or uncirculated Chicago shows as well. Plus, I
just like to share shows I have because, good or bad quality aside,
they are meant to be heard.

Unfortunately, this recording, while not hampered by audience
interference, sounds pretty bad. It's not hurtful to the ears but
it just doesn't sound very sonically pleasing at all. It's pretty
murky sounding and I'd give it a C or C+ rating. However, as I think
it doesn't circulate widely, I thought it would be nice to share it.

I received this show in trade on CD around 2004 with a batch of
other fairly uncirculated Chicago shows, most of which are similarly
poor sounding. The shows I received are from concerts performed between
1971 and 1980. As time permits, I'll try to upload additional ones.

I do not know the generations this show may have under it's belt
other than the CD copy I received so I can only offer the following:
CD in trade>Extracted to WAV to my computer>FLAC Level 6 via
Audacity>You...

Upon listening to various tracks, it seemed that the recording
was a bit fast. So, in Audacity, I slowed the speed by 2% which seemed
to help and more accurately represent the actual show.

With the shows I've uploaded in the past, I've always asked that
no one re-up them unless they can make a marked difference in my
offering. Well, I tried a few things in Audacity and I can tell you
that I don't think I could find a way to make this recording sound
any better without sacrificing the audio integrity. So I left it
in it's original state except for splitting the intro from the first
track and the speed correction as indicated. If anyone can enhance
the sound in any way and re-upload, please do!!

Share, enjoy (if that is possible with this recording) and please
do not convert to lossy formats save for yourself...
