1st Encore :::

2nd Encore :::
11. Tutti Frutti -> What'd I Say

Total Time ::: 1:09:07

::: Very fine, very clear AUD. Check samples to try the tape on for audio size or a few delectable, droolable dribbles.
::: Warts: NOT Many! Volume fluctuation (mostly fixed). Very slight edginess from mikes or master reel aging. Tiny bit of distant talking & some clapping occasionally. Dropouts almost entirely fixed but surely missed a few. Slight mike muffling at start of first encore (people standing?).
::: Remastered without EQ, the master tape never sounded anywhere near this good, guaranteed.
::: VERY hard to believe, but aside from hanwaker's 1973-02-06 Freiburg Audimax reocrding, uploaded way back in 2005, there don't appear to have ever been any other 1973 Shack shows ever posted on DIME. This should take hanwaker & some other o' you DIMERs back to the fabled days of yore. And, if you are a hardcore who still pisses & moans about Stan's post-1970 work (I know yr out there!), check out the blues on this one, it's REAL fine!

CoolSonics 220 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Very cool & fine vintage recording. Had some serious volume fluctuation which I was able to bring under remarkable control, but is still noticeable occasionally. In the old days you woulda given up trying to listen to this entirely due to the volume issues, these days you can see what you need to fix while you listen & do something about it - most excellent! There are a few dull spots volume wouldn't fix & a bit of channel fluctuation, aging tape syndrome & clapping, but pretty damn fine quality & very enjoyable musically. Stan gets into his harder edged stuff, but spends a lot of time in blues territory. Definitely not to be missed if yer into the Shack, there's some beautiful stuff here - check out the guitar playing on "The Thrill Is Gone" - heartfelt and gives you chills up the spine. Stan lays down some rippin' guitar shreddin' here, seems kinda subtle then all the sudden he's tearin' it up, burnin' the frets, like on "You Know You Could Be Right". You'll wish you could have some of whatever those German freaks turned him on to before the show, just for one listen. Some nice shades of Tony T.S. in places & Stan gets about as reminiscent of Peter Green as he ever did during some numbers, especially "The Thrill Is GOne" & "My Baby's Gone & Left Me". Sounds like "Poor Boy" at the start of track 09 then all of the sudden it switches to "You Know You Could Be Right", could be a clever tape splice, but sounds more like they changed songs... whatever, it was on the master! I'd say this is first class & hits the right spot for me between electric blues & Stan's heavy rock & roll. Hope you dig it as much as I have. Turn it UP & ENJOY!
