~[()]~ ISSUES: Some dropouts +/or dull spots may remain (fixed what was heard). Clapping only slight issue, mostly during some encores (most near-mike claps lowered in music). #15 cuts at 11mins (of 15)-likely 1or2secs missing (smoothed out but slight quality shift) [\\]
~[()]~ NOT SBD as noted often online - definitely (slightly narrow) stereo AUD tape [\\]
~[()]~ Many circulating copies (including 2CD boot?) seem to be LOSSY but this is a LOSSLESS source [\\]
~[()]~ At both the May & June Marquee Chicken Shack gigs the opening band was Bronx Cheer [\\]
~[()]~ WEBBISM: "I'd like to see a few of you people getting back to appreciating the art of playing instead of going onstage looking like a bunch of f*cking models" (Stan, before"Poor Boy"guitar break) [\\]

DATE GUESSING, PLUS ALBUM + LINE-UPs INFORMATION [>]
~[()]~ "Imagination Lady"LP was recorded Oct'71 & released 1972-02-02 (with Glascock/Hancox line-up) [\\]
~[()]~ Glascock left Chicken Shack after "Imagination Lady"sessions. Very possibly not in CS at all in 1972 [\\]
~[()]~ "Unlucky Boy" was released 1973-07-06 & the studio sessions featured the Bob Daisley/Paul Hancox line-up [\\]
~[()]~ By start Feb'73 Hancox had left, so"Unlucky Boy"sessions were DONE by Jan'73 at latest (probably all done in '72) [\\]
~[()]~ 1973-02-05 Esslingen + 1973-02-06 Freiburg Daisley still in band but Hancox had already been replaced by Powell [\\]
~[()]~ New 4-man Wilkinson/Hull/Powell line-up was already gigging in April during the Europe tour [\\]
~[()]~ Marquee had 1973 CS gigs on 22 January + 6 March + 11 April + 28 May + 26 June + 7 September + 12 October [\\]
~[()]~ "Unlucky Boy"song announced here as"I'd like to do a new number which comes out on the new album next month" [\\]
~[()]~ New 4-man line-up is already in place here (Bob Daisley/Paul Hancox OUT - Wilkinson/Hull/Powell IN) [\\]
~[()]~ Based on info above AND NO LP release delay (big assumption, but if LP issued as"originally"planned), this tape is 1973-06-26 [\\]
~[()]~ However, even a very slight delay, or Stan being slightly generous with his"month"comment, would mean this is 1973-05-28 [\\]
~[()]~ If there was delay & LP was originally to be issued in May or June, then date maybe 1973-04-11 OR, more likely 1973-05-28 [\\]
~[()]~ Assuming release date only 11 days away, it does seems slightly odd Stan says "next month", tho' not completely improbable [\\]
~[()]~ Unless/until more info (from taper?) surfaces, using 1973-06-26 date+question mark. If that ain't right, it's probably 1973-05-28 [\\]

[REMASTERING> 2022-04-xx >] unknown (low) generation 48 kHz/16-bit wave audio files [>] Audacity [removed possible DC offset, channels aligned, phase checked, volume adjusted (not normalized), fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, clap, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, several pitch (speed) changes applied from 0 to +1.9 to get it all close to A440 thruout using frequency analysis, NO equalisation, NO noise reduction] [>] track splits in CD Wave [>] 48 kHz/16-bit audio files [>] flacs in Trader's Little Helper [>] Completed 2022-04-xx [\\]

[>] TRIPnTIME TRIP011 [>] Sincere appreciation to the taper/source(s)/trader(s)/uploader(s)! Kudos to DIMER krautbeard for some date research. Gracias to whomever uploads this version [>] Added info and/or corrections appreciated [\\]

[>] This is a LOT more interesting than the "Goodbye" album recording as it is a more authentic mix, with Stan LOUD, and the keys, etc, more in the background... PLUS... it's not brickwalled, like (unfortunately) pretty much all the Chicken Shack album material on CD except some early Japanese discs (AFAIK). For example, that original Deram albums "Poor Boy" 2CD set is embarrassingly HORRIFIC & I'm willing to bet (a lot!) that the new Cherry Red 2022 "Crying Won't Help You Now" 3CD Deram box hasn't improved the situation. Of course, for €40 or so, PLUS the exciting new SICK shipping rates, etc, I'm not likely to find out anytime soon, if EVER. Which is why, all doubts to the wind, listening to this is a PLEASURE. Guess I've waited for some FIFTY years for it... Glad the ears can still do the job. Stan is in DYNAMITE form - he has no doubts about his ability to swing the axe & neither will you if you listen. One of the most dynamic versions of "Poor Boy" I've heard. "Everybody's sayin' that music is love. [>] Put on your colors and run come see." (DC). Enjoy the sounds! [\\]
