First of all A BIG HUG to hanwaker for kicking my ass to start uploading.
He was also very helpful in teaching me how to do - thank you uli !

Thank you very much to Maddrax for uploading beautiful torrents and all those
Chris Cacavas-shows 'from the hanwaker archive'...

Thanks to 38f and Evangeline, to Thomas D., Franz P., and many other DIMERs
i've been trading with in the 80ies and later...

This comes directly from the "Men With Microphones" archive.
"MWM" started in the 70ies in South Germany with analog recording equipment,
and at least two of them are still recording (since the 90ies on DAT).

historic trivia:
Chris Cacavas was on a solo-tour in Germany between April 26th and May 12th, 1999.
Chris Burroughs was in Germany to play some gigs in Norderstedt and a radioshow
at RADIO BREMEN (together w/ Eric Andersen). On the way home we thought it a
good idea to visit Mr. Cacavas' show in Munich @ Feierwerk. Chris B. was invited
to support the show, and later he supported Chris C. during the encores...PURE FUN !
The next day we all drove to Hof to record the "9 mē-Session".

German radio station HO*T-FM, based in the north-Bavarian city Hof, had big success
with their alternative program (playing Blues, Rock, and mainly so-called Americana, live-concerts and musicians in the studio...) and was running a program called
"9 square meter sessions". Exclusive recordings have been produced there from 1996
to 2002, and a lot of Blue Rose and Glitterhouse artists walked into this tiny studio
to record some fine and rare tunes. HO*T-FM's manager Joe L. watched all those sessions,
Otto G. was the sound-engineer. I visited them quite often, and we three had lots
of fun with Elliott Murphy, Rich Hopkins, Steve Wynn, Iain Matthews and many other
artists, for example with the two Chris' here...

In 2002 the media-company running the radiostation deceided to quit the
"not-so-commercial HO*T-FM", establish "Radio-Galaxy", another shitty mainly
chartsoriented radiostation like hundreds others and earn the big money...
and Joe and Otto had to quit their jobs.

THIS TORRENT IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF HO*T-FM, AND TO MY FRIENDS JOE AND OTTO...

Leo
