An Evening of Stories and Songs with Chris Hillman
Featuring Herb Pedersen with Mark Fain on bass

Arguably the pioneer of the genre known as "country rock", this four-time Grammy nominee CHRIS HILLMAN is one of the architects of contemporary American music.
Hillman's award-winning guitar, mandolin, and bass playing, along with his passionate embrace of music, has made him a national treasure for his contributions to the folk, country and rock genres.

In 1963 fresh out of high school, Chris joined his first band, The Scottsville Squirrel Barkers playing mandolin.
That band dissolved after a few months on the road and Chris then joined The Golden State Boys, who played on the weekly TV show, Cal's Corral.

The rest is history, with Hillman going on to be a founding member of The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas, Souther-Hillman-Furray, McGuinn-Clark-Hillman and The Desert Rose Band.
