I was not familiar with the work of Chris Thomas King before this show (and
neither were most of the people that I spoke with). That's surprising because
as he said during the show, he's put out 16 albums over the years.

Those who were familiar with him, knew him from his work (among many others) in
the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou" as well as the cable TV series "Treme".

This was also a different atmosphere at Charley's. Usually there is a
"dance floor area" roped off - basically a standing room situation. Tonight
there were dinner tables lined up so it was like we were all at a family
style dinner.
