boombox's notes december 2024:
Live reputations can be a funny thing: I only really booked this gig on the strength of multiple recommendations from people I had spoken to at other blues gigs and the fact that they had sold out Acapela twice before (now three times!). However, I will label it as one of my better decisions as this was a really fun gig, played by some fine musicians. If you like your blues with a dash of 60s soul, songs like 'Lucky Star', worthy of Van The Man himself, and a few blues covers alongside their own other strong original material, you will like these guys. A lot of people had travelled a long way to see this show and I totally understand why. Impossible to pick MVP on the night - Marco may be the main vocalist, but Tom and Stephen are no slouches either, vocally or instrumentally.

Recording came out very well indeed, leaving me little to do - minimal audience chatter with just some enthusiastic loud claps to reduce the volume on and I have added start/end of set fades. This is one to crank up loud!! Now, I wonder when they are coming back...
