Now it's time to go back to the first German tour of the Drifters, this appears to be the first gig ever in Germany.

Many thanks again to lonetaper who pushed me to look at my Drifters recordings. What an exceptional band that was - and there's even the hope of a reunion, as they played a gig on May 1, 2009, in New Orleans. You can find a recording of that gig at

The way of the sound:

CD-R trade > happy hard disk -> WaveLab (bit of boosting the bass, tiny bit of sound compression) ->

Don't know the device that was used to record it, no frequencies were cut. The recording sounds definitely like a soundboard recording.
