Third and final band from this enchanting evening in lovely Nuernberg. Founded back in 2003 in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Coogan's Bluff has since some interesting chanes in their
musical style. First time I saw them (well, ok, 2011 at Stoned from the underground) they seemed just like any other stoner rock band as they played their gig with some members missing
due to another transition phase. A few years later, it seemed that the brass section took over a more intensive note on their music which is now in full bloom.
What would I call this? PsychedelicJazzRock might be the most close expression that comes to mind. Starting with a few "short" songs, the show gets really into faster gear with the long
tracks that dominate the second half of the show. Their new album "Flying to the stars" is highly praised in german music press (no fake news!) and I recommend this as a purchase for
good vibes in grey winter days. Hope you'll like this one, too. Looking forward to seeing them soon, at least @ Burg Herzberg Festival. SB
