::: EX stereo FM. Check samples for disgust&disillusionment or drool&delight.
::: Warts: Repaired dullspots & dropouts but surely missed a few. #01 tape fatigue mostly fixed but still slightly audible. #04+06 some hiss between songs (FM limiter problem?).
::: COMPARISON CLAUSE: This is an Mk2 remaster of "Mk1"hanwaker version on"Country Joe '70-73 Collection"2010 DIME upload (no longer on the tracker).
::: Thanks to hanwaker for orig. C.Joe comp source upload & for replacing my misplaced one!
::: Beginning of a set from 1of6 Boarding House nights 19th-24th December 1972.
::: Country Joe's most recently RELEASED album was still "Incredible! Live!" from 1971.
::: "Paris Sessions"LP was already recorded but not issued 'til '73. #07 the only song from it here.
::: Thanks to hanwaker for orig. C.Joe comp source upload & for replacing my misplaced one!
::: Joe's All-Star Band line-up was rather fluid & often featured Tucki Bailey on reeds a.o. musicians.
::: Dorothy Moskowitz hailed from the extraordinary mindblast band, The United States of America.
::: Anna Rizzo played with Marty Balin bands Grootna & Bodacious DF, among others.
::: Peter Albin, STILL of Big Bro&The Holding Co. as of 2021, was also in Country Joe&The Fish/Dinosaurs/Fish 'N Chips/Barry Melton Band/this band/a.o.
::: David Getz sometimes played with the All-Stars, but this sounds more like Rizzo's style & there are 2 female vocalists.
::: VENUE: Wikipedia says The Troubadour (North) opened 1970-08-04 &became The Boarding House on 1973-02-21. The more accurate https://jerrygarciasbrokendownpalaces.blogspot.com says The Troubadour North folded 1970-11-01 & The Boarding House reopened in '72, which seems to fit numerous facts&gig dates better, & the DJ names the location at the end.

DimeTravel 786 ::: Thanks to the original taper & traders & uploaders, including The Man In The Palace & DIMER hanwaker! Sincere thanks to whomever uploads this for me. ::: Corrections welcome ::: The original "Mk1" transfer was WAY off speed, so if you had trouble listening to that one, don't write off the recording! I had to correct it before I could enjoy doing the remastering - usually I leave it 'til the end. You really get the feeling Joe is enjoying having a band again, working out new arrangements, playing off of others. This one has an even great Hot Licks vibe, with double femvox. Nice sparkle to the sound, very hip, a shame there isn't another 2 hours of it! Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yrs truly, Knees
