The sound quality on this gets an A-, except for a few blemishes, where I'd give it a B. First off, I started recording as I walked in while the first song was in progress. Throughout track 02, the sound quality improves, and stays fine until track 11, at which point I was having camera trouble, and had to set the recorder on the ground from the end of track 11 (3:37) until about halfway into track 14 (1:49). During this time, the audio is a bit muffled and bassy, but still quite listenable. From then on, it's fine, possibly my most enjoyable recording ever. I was sitting at the back of the bottom lawn section, about fifteen heads from the stage, and I generally had the recorder in the same hand as the camera, getting an unblocked capture at the stage. I will share the video soon, if y'all are interested. It's a very unstable Hi8 capture, but it's actually a joy to watch mostly, me being pretty close to the stage. As for the show, I've completely fallen in love with this band, though I was never a Dixie Chicks fan, beyond thinking that they're cool. I figured I'd treat myself to something a little different for my birthday, and I got a lot more than I'd expected. I'm hooked on this recording - the H2 kicked ass. I also hit the loudness adaption button in the Magix program. I really liked what happened, as the original wav is really quiet. Also, this recording is just over 79 minutes, so it fits nicely on a single cdr.
