Covers?

This all started with a discussion with my drunken, know-it-all, asshole, nephew. He started telling me how much he knew about rock and roll.
He rambled on about this fact, or that fact, but I knew that he was full of it when he proclaimed Janis the Writer of "Me and Bobby McGee". I decided to
put together a collection of songs whose "Covers" were bigger hits than the original songs. I put this together using what I had in my collection as
the best versions of songs by the original writers. I am giving it to my nephew for Christmas. Maybe he will take it back to his dorm and amaze his friends.
Accept it in the good fun that it was created. Thanks to all of the original tapers and seeders. There are other songs that I have in mind to use, but I could
not find clean copies. (Does anyone have a show from Tommy James and the Shondells?) Enjoy and Merry Christmas to all.
