The Coward Brothers 2006 Oct 08
Rooster Stage, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival
Speedway Meadow, Golden Gate Gate Park, San Francisco, CA

stealth audience recording by Easy Ed from the fifth row, directly in front of the left speaker stack at a distance of about twenty feet from speakers to microphones.

Oade Brothers Binaural Micro microphones > Sony D8 DAT @48kHz (with microphone preamps modified by Oade Brothers) > Sony PCM-R500 (playback) > coax digital out > Sek'd Prodif Plus soundcard > Sequoia 7.22 > Sound Forge 8 (resample to 44.1kHz, normalize, fade in and out) > CDWav (track splits) > .wav files > FLAC level 7 encoding

The soundman at this stage apparently equated sound volume to penis size because the music was far too loud, not only for this set but for the sets before and after this set and for the intermission music. Also, one of the speakers in the left speaker stack was blown so it would crackle at certain points. Because of this there is quite a bit of distortion in this recording as the volume overloaded my microphones.

**CAUTION** This recording is only for hardcore fans, until a better recording surfaces.
