notes:
-Cracker was headliner of night 1 at the annual Hoco Festival at Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson. This was in the parking lot/outdorr stage (other bands
played in the Club). Set started at 11:30 or so. Definitely a decent crowd for an event like this - about 10 bands a night, a mix of local and visiting
acts. Cracker has done it before.
-the set was real good/fun - Cracker as a 6 piece: David said the band was the one that did the Bakersfield disc including the extra pedal steel & keys
players who both blended in quite nicely. They did only 1 tune from the Berkeley disc versus 3 from bakersfield mixed weith the usual old crowd pleasers.
I really dug the 3 Bakersfield tunes & "Cracker Soul" the most. Encore came after the PA had been playing dj music for a few minutes, so much of the crowd
had dispersed by then.
-I had to record with internal mics again due to issues with mic line wire. Deck was about 5' up in shirt pocket in front of right column about 15-20' out.
To me it's "B+" because of internal mics sound quality vs my normal externals, yet it still sounds real good mostly, so many may think it's better than
that, maybe "A-/B+". Not much crowd noise as most were just into it.
-another Sonoran Desert Recording recorded, mastered and seeded by Matt23. Do not sell ever for any reason, but share freely in lossless formats only:
keep the gene pool clean! Support Cracker & Camper Van Beethoven, they're great!
