* Microphone Set up:I was hoping that the few members behind us
wouldn't mind if I ran my microphones up in the air on my stand.
One member said "no, thanks OK" after I had asked him about it,so
microphones had to stay just above head level on stand and no time
to try and move over to the sounboard area which there was very
little room there also.Out come of this was I couldn't use the
shotguns as they would have been in the way of the audience passing by
my seat and bumping into them and very loud audience clapping and
lower levels with the music.As this was my first experience here
at the Egg recording a live show I was honored to be able to record
at all and I knew I would still get an awesome capture just the
same!

Comments:What an honor to be able to record this show at such
an awesome sounding theatre!First thanks goes to Crooked Still
for allowing us to record their music!Second thanks goes to Eric
from the Egg staff for being an awesome host and letting me into
the theatre before anyone else was there to see if my microphone
stand would be in the way in the aisle.He had offered to let me
set up by the soundboard but I am too stubborn to be away from my
gear while recording!,* see comments on microphone setup * Third
thanks goes to Nicki for the Christmas tickets,what an awesome bunch
of shows from them!Some level wierdness between songs and audience
clapping due to me normalizing each track seperately (clapping/Music).
A few of the songs came out lower than I would have liked but the
audience clapping after the leads during the songs caused them to stay
lower.Also couple of head bumps to the microphone bar here and there and
frazzled nerves from having the mics in our faces,but the main thing
is the outcome of the capture and I think it came out excellent!Enjoy!
