The Crusaders - Colchester, UK 1978 FM Re-seed (Includes 5 Samples)

Here's another Live perspective of The Crusaders in the 70's. Taken from an BBC "In-Concert" FM broadcast on the last show of their "Images" tour, the band now features guitarist Billy Rogers as a primary solist. Nice clean sound and enjoyable set. With only a DJ intro, the Broadcast Date is unknown. All Praise to the original seeder Mr Mags, and as always Your Comments are Appreciated!

As the Band Turns:
The Crusaders band was evolving. Wayne Henderson had left the band for producing, and Larry Carlton was releasing his own solo lp's. Joe Sample has developed his signiture writing skills, and just released his 2nd solo effort "Rainbow Seeker" with track-7 taken from that lp. The Crusaders are now producing their own lp's, all 3 members have released solo lps, and have started thier own record label. They are less than a year away from thier biggest commercial sucess with the song "Street Life". Joe would continue to focus more on his solo lp's, start co-writing with a lyricist, and begin his association with Randy Crawford. In 1983 Stix would leave the band. I have paired this show with The Seattle '73 set on my reel to reel player, together they contrast the 2 best phases of The Crusaders in the 70's!
