Curtis Salgado
Waterfront Blues Festival
Portland, OR.
July 4, 2017

Here it is again this year, Waterfront Blues Festival. I'm not going to be recording much this year. I'm just to busy with family and retirement. The radio station is still cutting in at weird time to announce all the station call numbers. To me it's an annoyance. I'll try to edit these out if possible.

Cheers to all, twofthrs

Its been a big year for Curtis Salgado. While touring New England this spring, just over a month before he would sweep the annual Blues Music Awards in Memphiswinning for Soul Blues Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Soul Blues Male Artist of the YearCurtis was felled by a heart attack, necessitating quadruple by-pass surgery.

On July 4, Curtis returns to the festivals main stagehis first public gig since his heart attackto show us how this cat with nine lives sings the blues.
