Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks
October 22, 2010
Carrboro, North Carolina
The ArtsCenter

On the heels of two wildly energetic and entertaining Bob Dylan shows here in North Carolina (both of which
are still seeded here on DIME), I now offer up a mellow mix of "Caucasian Hip-Hop" from Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks.

If you've ever seen Dan in concert, you already know that the evening is not only enjoyable as a musical event,
but it's also a bit like seeing the Smothers Brothers or Steve Martin ! Dan's dry, clever wit keeps the performance
moving right along, and you can never tell where Dan is leading you next !

The Carrboro ArtsCenter is a cozy little room, and the several hundreds folks gathered on this night really had a
good time. By the end of the evening, the dance floor in front was jammed with folks groovin' to the classic tunes
that Dan was made famous throughout the decades.

I hope you enjoy this good sounding performance and I appreciate your comments in advance.

Dan Hicks - captain of the spaceship
Roberta Donnay - vocals, percussion
Daria - vocals, percussion
Bonito Cortez - violn
David Bell - lead guitar
