Daniel Lanois,
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

New Orleans,
6 may 1989
(Speed Corrected)
(Probably from WWOZ)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This show running too fast like Pr Goodies said in the comments.I try to correct the speed with Sound Forge 9,
-90Cents was applied for the correction.I also reajusted the level in some tracks.
Sbe's aligned with TLH.

A very great early show. It's not a FM source but surely a Pre-Fm source.

Taper: unknown
Seed: Richard Russell

1 O Marie (beginning cut)
2 Little Sadie
3 Still Water
4 Jolie Louise
5 Silium's Hill
6 You Don't Miss Your Water
7 Early Morning Rain
8 The Maker>Introducing The Band

Source: FM broadcast (probably WWOZ) > DAT *

Transfer: DAT clone > Sony TCD-D7 > Audiomedia III soundcard > Macintosh G3/300 > Bias Peak 2.62 >
firewire hard drive > Macintosh Powerbook G4/1000 > Bias Peak 3.2.1 (normalized, indexed, saved in .wav format)
> Shorten for Mac 1.1a4

* Recording is supposedly FM > DAT, but due to the vintage, there is probably at least one analog
generation involved. (Aural evidence suggests as much.) This is probably, in fact, FM > master cassette > DAT.

Sound quality is VG+ (there is slight FM noise and slight tape hiss)

This performance was broadcast four months prior to the release of Lanois' first album, Acadie.

Daniel Lanois - guitar, vocal
Malcolm Burn - Keyboard, harmonica, vocals
Tony Hall - bass
Willie Green - drums
Mason Ruffner - guitar

Enjoy
