I always run 2 rigs (4 mics total) at DMB in case something happens either tech-wise or weather-wise
and a backup is needed. This tape required the use of both sets of mics, like the Rogers 2021 show in
the storm. The wind suddenly picked up quite strong during "Sledgehammer" and "The Dreaming Tree" to
the point where the stand was shaking a bit in the breeze. We held things down and the end result is
actually pretty solid from all of the tapers. You will probably hear a little wind on the second half
of the tape, but because I was able to mix these two sources together for a matrix, it greatly helps.
I want to shout out Henry Hart, his daughter Catherine, Elana Gershuny, and Zachary Mohney for an
overall great time taping together - that was quite fun to link up and all tape together in the pit.
I was clamped on to Henry and Catherine (her first taping experience), with my ATs at 14ft and the
CAFSs at 12 on a bar below it. It's not often this many tapers set up together (5 people on 2 stands
next to each other) - let's do it again sometime! These tapes were an awesome group effort by everyone.
