-been a long time since I'd seen Dave, so was psyched for this show when I saw they were hitting Phoenix months in advance. It's a solid good DMB show -
all good, with a few soft moments, some long old jams, a few cool covers, a few new tunes, and a few personal favorites. I was pretty much good after
the first 2 tunes especially "Funny the Way It Is" & "Two Step" (encore) still one of best DMB tunes ever! A fun time overall - the crowd around me in
good spirits but not overly loud/talkative! Yay! Some serious listeners like myself, especially the father and son in front of me. I dedicate this
recording to them - it was a joy to see their shared joy of Dave despite a 30 year age difference! They seemed to know every line and riff! Wish I
could remember their names! Beautiful folks like most of the Dave crowd.
-Dave banters here and there but nothing too long or crazy (LOL). He mentions it's Buddy Strong's hometown!
-I was in the seating stage left upper but close to the 2nd stack of speakers for lawn so sound is actually real good - better than I expected! Very
happily surprised. It may be 1 of my last recordings with old Edirol - switching over to a Tascam, but I must admit I love the Edirol - obviously
designed by stealth tapers! Mics were about 5'6" high.
-another Sonoran Desert Recording taped, mastered and seeded by Matt23. For personal use only - no selling. Share freely. Do not convert into MP3 and
share - MP3 for personal use only. Keep the gene pool clean!
-Go see Dave! - he's always fun and writes great tunes & jams and the band is pro - it's ok you'll still be cool! ;)
