This one is for Neil Peart. Thanks. Happy Birthday wherever you might be and thanks for all the great music and lyrics.

Stripeydave says: Here's the next one in the installment plan and a good one it is. Hardly any problems soundwise, as I gave up my front row seats for all of you to have a better-sounding recording, a great setlist and a spot-on performance. The show started just before midnight and Dave was in rare form and humor to match. Some wonderful special guests helping out including Sebastian Steinberg on bass, Jon Brion on guitar and Benmont Tench on piano. They were so crowded up on that tiny "stage" that on one of Ben's solos (...Seen Hank), he actually had to slide sideways to play the whole piano... you can hear us all chuckle at his antics! I can't say enough about the magic Benmont brings to these shows with his melodic, lyrical playing, always understated--he never overplays, unless overplaying is called for!

An amazing version of Dear Someone was a special treat indeed. I felt like we were transported about 60 years back in time. The sound in the room was nothing short of remarkable.
This show also includes the super-ultra-rare version of Sweet Tooth with the special Friday the 13th lyrics of "Wolf in the Kitchen, Sheep's in the house..." instead the other way around! You should have seen the look on Gil and Morgan's faces when Dave sprung that on them! And of course the segue from Bright Eyes' "Method Acting" into Cortez the Killer left the room breathless. Add the other great songs and you have a show that is a must-have for even the casual listener.

So keep your windows open please and try to upload as much as you download. I understand it may be tough on dialup, so if you can't, no worries... just try to share it with as many people as you can by other methods, preferably through random acts of kindness.

One last thing, if you like this show then please go out and buy their albums. You won't be disappointed. Support live Independent Music!
