Freeloader days have often seen me share something by, or connected to, Fairport Convention. I was looking that mucical camp over for things that I might now share, and came across this. It seems to have been up here twice before. The first share was in 2005 from lagga, who it seems could've/might've been the taper. It was upped again in 2016 by philandjenny to mark Swarb's passing at that point in time.
This is a fine sounding show from the days when Swarb's duo partner was fellow Fairport associate and founding member, Simon Nicol. Swarb often worked in this format, and with Fairport on a bit of an early 80's hiatus, this pairing worked well for each of them. There are a few albums released by them in this duo format, but this particular show isn't represented on any of them. I was fortunate to see the Full House Fairport band when I was 14 at Fillmore East, and got hooked by their musicianship and the joy and flair in their performances. That's often a very palpable impression when hearing the full band or their offshoots. You'll get that sense too in this share.
This is a straight reseed with nothing at all done, other than what was needed in creating the new torrent. Big thanks for the previous shares, and for recording this in the first place. I've copied and pasted from the dimebot archive some of what had been there in the prior shares. That may be seen below:
