David Bromberg Band
Friday, August 27th, 1978
Star Theater-in-the-Round
Nanuet, New York

Source - Analog Master Audience Cassette: Maxell UDXLII-90
Mics: Nakamichi CM-100's w/ CP-1 Cardioid capsules
Record Deck: Nakamichi 550

Digitized @ 44/16 via IDT Hi-Def Audio Codec and SoundForge

SoundForge was also used to crossfade tape flips, and to track (on EXACT
whole second boundaries - sbes?! WHAT sbes????). Encoded to flac (level 6)
via TLH. (To be clear ... these files WERE checked for sbes ... there
were none to correct, as one can expect when the cuts are placed with care.)
I generally don't waste time and effort with CDs anymore (making the whole
sector boundary thing irrelevant to me, y'know), but the whole show clocks
in at 1:16:06, so it fits on one disc.

All these years later, what's most memorable about this show is the guys
in the horn section stumbling into each other every time the stage changed
its direction of rotation. :D We saw Bromberg's bend a few weeks ago (at
the Egg, in Albany, NY on 4/2/11) and the same 3 guys are still Dave's
horn section. In fact, he introduced Peter Ecklund as "The only man who's
been in this band longer than me."
