Candleman's Original Note:
This is the only way I could pull off this recording with my dinosaur recording equipment. It came out of the board hot as hell, and it shows on the recording. Some parts are overmodulated.
The good news is that it is pretty listenable, even with the overmodulation.
The show was great! I included the best shots from my phone camera.
I was able to make this great show more listenable by expanding the dynamic range using one formula emphazing some aspects of the music over others, then I recompressed that dynamic range using a slightly different formula. A technic I hadn't really tried before. I'll have to go back and re-look at a couple other shows in my archive. I was able to eliminate some 80% of the over-modulation, but you can still hear a little of it in David's vocals in "Walkin' Blues", "Sharon", and "Tongue (Shuffle in A)". I also corrected a couple glitches in the recording and did a little re-tracking. I like my tracks to start right at the start of the song and generally seperate any between song chatter, audience, etc. longer than a minute or so into it's own track so one can easily skip it if wanted. Check out "900 Miles", some classic blues here considering it's an old folk tune by Cisco Houston.
Another Installment Of The Demon In Disguise Project. Thanks Candleman.
