Recorded from third row center on the floor.
Mics on glasses above frontal lobes, pointing forwards-upwards-ish.
There obviously is such a thing as too close! In fact the speakers were
*behind* us, and five metres above us and to the left and right of us,
ie. not ideal taping conditions! So although the recording picks up some
nice percussion sounds straight off the stage, the vocals, keyboards,
and guitars are a wash of echo. This is, however, a true representation
of how it sounded from where I was on the night. Maybe next time I'll try
to get seats further back at Hamer Hall - even for one of my heroes.
Selling this would be uncool, doubt you could anyway. Enjoy!
