Hi

This is taken from a silver 2CD set called "New Game". I can't recall seeing
this show torrented here before.

It is excellent quality. This seems to be a complete show (but it is
missing "There is No Way Out of Here" and "Let's Get Metaphysical").

It is most likely a radio broadcast as David doesn't say the word
Bullshit on Money. However, it has more of the sound of a soundboard
recording. The audience applause is extremely quiet but I guess it is
possible that they used this as a broadcast source recording.

I do not believe that there are any other radio broadcasts from this
tour besides the aformentioned Bethlehem one.

Artwork in included.

remastering notes:
I got this on zomb tracker. thanks to the seeder, Hertogjan who posted this there on Jan. 16, 2008.
I just checked under David Gilmour in Rock and then in Progressive rock and did not see this, but
I have about as much confidence in this dime search engine as in a blind person driving my car, so
if this is in fact a "double post" of this version, I tried to find out if it was, and this concert
did not come up at all. Even if it is, this is a remaster version of the "New Game" silver CD set.
I've had an unbearably hissy cassette copy of this for years, I believe also not the entire concert,
never posted that because I knew there'd be a better version of this show and this is alot better.
this one is a remaster of the above post from zomb.
Although the artwork that comes with this has it listed in the manner above, I have put them into 2
folders (it was all in 1 lump sum before) with the 1st song on disc 2 as Out of the Blue, because
it fits better as a start to a disc (the next one starts rather abruptly). Please take note that the
artwork won't match up that way, so you can either do it the old way or alter the artwork (I'd do that
myself but I don't know how to do artwork, only sound work.)
this recording needed some level balancing and adjusting in all tracks, some more than others,
and DC offsetting. So I have done that. It has edits between every song, and I reduced or removed
some of the gaps, left a couple that seem to need being there with the edits.
There were some scratches and noises (maybe dust) from what sounds like a vinyl FM broadcast source
disc, especially in Comfortably Numb. This does sound to me like a "pre-FM" sbd source, not an FM
broadcast version. I was able to remove the loudest of these by "monoizing" very short sections,
(maybe .002 sec each at most) and the result is the music sounds fine and the most prominent scratches
are all gone. some of them sounded like extra drum beats, clearly not music though, the recording has
a few imperfections remaining but sounds considerably better after the above mentioned adjustments.
The disc 1 tracks sound better than the later ones which suffer from some saturation and clipping in
the previous posting, especially tracks 9-12. I have not used any EQ or noise reduction, don't think
it needs any, either. the overall sound is quite good sbd quality here. I'm sure others who have this
show have a better copy than I had before I got this version, but this one sounds pretty nice now, my
old very hissy (and never posted by me) version didn't have "no way out of here" either so there's no
way out of leaving that out of here. Sorry about that, I like that one too, but anyone who has a copy
of this that doesn't sound very good, or doesn't have it and likes Gilmour, will enjoy this.
The only alteration I made to the above original info file was to remove a reference to another
posting on zoom regarding Gilmour Pa. FM broadcast. He says it's from Bethlehem, Pa.
as far as I know the only other FM broadcast of David Gilmour's 1984 U.S. tour was at Stabler Arena in
Allentown, Pa. I have a recording of that but haven't posted it because it has been shared on several
different sites (including dime) by others in an exc quality sound from other sources and may be again by
another ex FM one (other than me) in the future.
the arrangement I have this in goes as follows:

CD1 55:41
1. Until We Sleep (7:18)
2. All Lovers Are Deranged (5:32)
3. Love on the Air (5:24)
4. Mihalis (9:18)
5. Cruise (8:13)
6. Short & Sweet (7:17)
7. Money (12:37) (there is usually a rather long applause break after they play
this one but most of it has been previously edited out)

CD2 59:41
8. Out of the Blue (3:48)
9. You Know I'm Right (7:16)
10. Run Like Hell (7:06)
11. Blue Light (11:55)
12. Murder (8:46)
13. Near the End (11:07)
14. Comfortably Numb (9:42)
