David Gogo has earned 3 Juno nominations, was twice named "Guitarist of the Year" at the Western Canadian Music Awards, and, although David is still young in "blues years" -- he was bestowed with the CBC Saturday Night Blues "Great Canadian Blues Artist Award" for a lifetime contribution to the blues in Canada. With nine albums under his belt, David Gogo has also contributed to a number of other artist's recordings. He has composed music for television and movies and his songs have been recorded and performed by other musicians. While his blazing guitar playing and soulful vocals can wow an audience, David is also known for his humour and down-to-earth personality. Canada Live caught up with this exciting performer at the 2009 Edmonton Blues Festival.
