Recording Mr. Dave made me nervous and I was sitting out in the open quite visible from the stage.
So I used the lower quality microphone because it is less obvious and easier to conceal.
Ended up being a wise move.

After the first song the manager walked right up to me asking me not to take photos.
Even though they had announced that still photos were ok?
And I'm sitting there holding a microphone in the other hand.
Clean up on isle 6, eh.
He then sat at the table next to me for a while visiting with a friend.
The better mic would have been visible so it ended up being the right move.
Downside is a little more noise in the lower frequencies which sounds a little like heavy air during quiet passages.
Not that you should notice unless you listen with headphones up real loud then you might.
This microphone response rolls off at about 18KHz which is beyond my hearing anyhow.

There was a big space between my seat and the stage and you can hear people walk by on the wood floor a few times.
Being a bar/restaurant you can also hear bottles and plates clinking at certain points.
Some effort was made to reduce those as well as the loudest clapping and microphone handling noises.

If you hear another band playing you are not dreaming as they were in the bar a couple rooms over.
I heard it a few times as a faint sound in the background when Dave was tuning up or talking.

David mentions that his mail order business was being scammed and has been shut down.
