Recording setup: 4 channel cassette master recorded on Yamaha MT44D which could record 4 channels at standard cassette speed in one direction on a cassette with Dolby C noise reduction. This was the only 4 channel cassette deck available that gave decent performance without requiring the double speed that other 4 channel cassette recorders used (which wouldn't have been as practical for live concert recording).

For this show there are two soundboard channels and two PZM (Pressure Zone) microphone channels. The microphones were mounted on the low ceiling over the left & right sides of the stage.

Transfer: Dolby C Maxell UDXL-S cassette masters > Yamaha MT44D (Dolby C decoded) > Apple Macintosh with Echo Layla interface & Cubase VST24 4.1r2 software > Pro Tools 6.4 (digital time alignment, matrix mix, normalization and tracking - no DNR or EQ) > AIFF files > xAct (Flac level 8 files, tagged with sector boundaries verified).
