* There is a 4 second gap in the middle of "Hands Like A Man" - I was probably screwing with the deck and somehow unplugged the mike or something. I have done a quick fade out/in to make it less abrupt.

A scan of my (very faded) ticket for the show is included in the torrent.

Wolfgang's was a fairly large club in San Francisco, CA; my recollection is that it was bigger than the Great American Music Hall and maybe as big as the current Fillmore. I recorded from the center of the balcony, quite far from the stage, maybe 150-200 feet, with my mike taped very near the ceiling on a column going from the balcony to the ceiling. The guitar and drums come out clearly, the vocals are a little echo-ey but quite discernable. Compared to the entire universe of audience recordings, I would rate this a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. I offer it here because because we must have recordings of every note Mr. Dave ever played.

Since the original recording was made with Dolby C on, which adds a boost to the middle and high frequencies, yet the playback was done without any Dolby on (which would have cut middle and high frequencies) I took the liberty of applying some very slight noise (hiss) reduction using BIAS Sound Soap. If anyone wants the recording without this processing please contact me and I'd be happy to oblige. I usually am against offering original recordings with any processing but I was *very* light-handed here.

This is not some multigenerational copy of indeterminate lineage acquired through trading that's been on everybody's tapelist for years. This is straight from the person who recorded it- me!
