OldNeumanntapr Notes-
This was a CD that I just recently got in trade from my friend Ulrich in Germany. I noticed upon listening that although the sound quality was quite good, the levels were a bit low. Furthermore, there was an anomaly at the end of track #7. Someone had duplicated the tuning at the very beginning of the opening track, ‘King Of The Bed’, at the end of Minglewood Blues / .45 Pistol Blues. (There was a tiny break with a nano second of blank ‘dead air’, so it was definitely a mistake.) I decided to combine the tracks to a one-track file, edit out the mistake, amplify the recording, and retrack. I also converted back to FLAC and tagged the files. I think now, after the additional post processing, it is an improvement of an already really good recording. There is just a very slight hint of FM ‘noise’ to keep me from rating this an A+.
