Notes: This was my third time this year seeing this band so I'm definitely a big fan. Got a great seat for video which turned out be a good seat audio wise as well. Finally got my new mics from Canada, so I was all set. When I sat down, there was a single woman on one side of me, which is usually a good thing in terms of noise. So it was all good. Until the single woman's friend returned from the bar after the set began. And my taper's nightmare kicked in. They were drunk, sang loud and out of tune even during quiet songs, clapped a lot, chatted between songs and pretty much near ruined a fantastic recording. What they did to "Carolina Low" was downright criminal. This was the closest I've ever gotten to telling someone to "shut the fuck up". But I held back because when videotaping, I believe it's best to keep avoid arguments with drunk neighbors, who could easily summon security and bust me for the video. So I bit my tongue and suffered. As is always the case with these types of idiots, they left early, after the first encore, but it was not soon enough. It's not all bad, fortunately. I included some samples (good and bad) below. The entire show was videotaped and a DVD and Blu-ray will be uploaded soon.
