~ Don't wanna say that Okkervil River stole the show, but...Okkervil River kinda stole the show. Oh, well. The Decemberists were still great and lots of fun; but they've definitely been better.
~ Is there something up with The Decemberists' soundist? So many of the recordings I've heard from this year, including this one, sound a bit muddy to my ears. Yet, the Okkervil River and Fruit Bats recordings -- taken on the same night, from the same location in the bowl, with the same equipment -- sound crisp and clear. Huhn.
