The Decoys (Muscle Shoals, Ala.) opened for the Drive-By Truckers Friday at the Cannery Ballroom. The band is composed of accomplished Muscle Shoals musicians, including David Hood, a member of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and father of DBT co-founder Patterson Hood.
The band played a hot one hour set featuring a few tunes I hadn't heard them play, including Canned Heat's "Let's Work Together." Always fun to hear them do "Iko Iko."
The highlights were appearances by Donnie Fritts for two tracks and "The Weight" with several special guests.

enjoy!
